Musée Chagall

Franchement, je n'ai jamais aimé Chagall ou, plus précisément, je ne lui avais jamais fait attention. Donc, c'est exactement pourquoi j'ai visité son musée à Nice -- pour découvrir ce grand chef d'art et ses oeuvres...

Le Noël en banlieue

Hier, j'ai des difficultés à m'endormir et au lieu de l'essayer, je me suis promenée autour du pâté pendant une heure et demi.

The dark weather here in Mississauga makes me want to revisit Ombrelles Bestagno in Vieux Nice, where I got my French-made umbrella as a souvenir of my visit to the Republic.

Despite the ocean being so near, I, surprisingly have yet to go for a swim. When I do though, it'll likely be here, in Villefranche or neghbouring Beaulieu.

L'église Sainte Jeanne d'arc

Though there are no shortage of churches in Nice, l'église Sainte Jeanne d'arc, is the only one I know constructed of concrete---and it just so happens to also be my favourite and the closest to where I am.

Took the train to Monaco today, to take advantage of the clear skies and sunlight, and the lack of classes thanks to All Saints Day.

Braved the rain yesterday to see what a French vernissage (exhibition opening) is all about, at le Galerie de Marine.

Le presqu'île, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, Fragonard et la tortue

Went on a solid walk Saturday, to Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat's Presqu'île--a beautiful spot full of lizards and my new favourite tree, le Pin d'Alep. And thanks to la loi littoral, which bans the contruction of buildings that obstruct the public's view of the sea (though there are exceptions, I'm told), we had an unbroken view of the water the whole time.
